Welcome, dear reader, to Home with Barakah, my corner in this large and busy world.
{رَبِّ اشْرَحْ لِي صَدْرِي * وَيَسِّرْ لِي أَمْرِي * وَاحْلُلْ عُقْدَةً مِّن لِّسَانِي * يَفْقَهُوا قَوْلِي}
“My Lord! Uplift my heart for me, and make my task easy, and remove the impediment from my tongue so people may understand my speech.”
Ta-Ha (20:25-28), — Dr. Mustafa Khattab, The Clear Quran
My name is Sabah, and I am looking forward to sharing content on faith (Islam), family, and simple living.
I know that there’s so much going on in our lives these days, so many resources and so many applications. Every single one is vying for your attention. With that in mind, I’ve recently started thinking about where I can share what I learn when it comes to family, parenting, and simple living from the Islamic perspective. For example, this space is where I will share our journey in raising and educating our children a little differently — with the hope it brings encouragement to others walking a similar path. I certainly do not claim perfection. I hope that I can be helpful to someone out there who is going through the same season of life that I am.
I hope to offer reflections and small shifts that nurture a more peaceful way of living—one grounded in gratitude to Allah (Subhanahu wa Ta’Ala) and his barakah (blessings).
Planning to share something new with you each Monday, Insha’Allah.
I would love to have you join my journey through this blog. Please hit the subscribe button so you don’t miss the next post, and feel free to share it.
With peace and barakah,
Sabah
